STILLWATER, OK –The Stillwater Chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association will host the third annual Trash & Treasure Tea from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25, at Cimarron Hotel & Suites, 315 N. Husband. This will be Stillwater's own version of the Antique Roadshow! Professional appraiser, Mike Ratcliffe of Tulsa, and his team will examine antiques, heirlooms and collectibles during this come-and-go antique show. He will give an estimated value of your item and let you know if it is trash or treasure! This entertaining show will make you want to stay and listen to the interesting history of each item presented. The appraisers do not appraise guns, coins, gemstones or swords. Ratcliffe has over 30 years appraisal experience and specializes in appraisal and documentation of 19th Century furniture by cabinetmakers. Ratcliffe and his crew also provide interior design services to incorporate heirlooms, collections and art into any room. Estate Sale services are also available. Tickets to the event are $15 each and include the appraisal of one item per ticket. Attendee tickets are also available for $10 each, which includes admittance to the show, without bringing an item. Tickets are available for purchase at The Beauty Bar, 718 S. Main, while supplies last. The event will begin at 2 p.m. However, participants should arrive at 1:30 p.m. to register his or her item. Tickets are limited, so purchase your tickets early! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association, which supports many local and national philanthropic organizations. Some of which include, Stillwater Education Foundation, Reading is Fundamental, Payne County Youth Services, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and educational scholarships for active students.
